weekend getaway
We had a wonderful three day weekend up in Blairsville, Ga! We rented a cabin for two nights and had our friends Jennifer and Jason (and their daughter) join us. We went to Helen for the Octoberfest, which was a BUST. Not family friendly at all. But if you are kidless and want to get drunk on beer..go for it. We stopped to eat at a place that seemed pretty decent..it wasn't full of drunk people...turns out that they don't sell beer or alcohol there. we sat outside so the kids could play in the grass, which was a good idea because everything took forever! the lady that owns the restaurant was doing everything but the cooking!
On sunday Jordan, Oliver and myself went to Mercier Orchards to pick apples. It was a lot of fun! A tractor pulled us to the apples and we spent lots of time picking! I have no idea what i am going to do with so many apples!

He rolled the pumpkin all the way to me! and its not even the one we took home. LOL
Pretending to be an apple tree!
When we got back to the cabin we went to Anna Ruby Falls with Jennifer and Jason! What a hike! But it was beautiful.
These are gorgeous mountains! A LOT different than the Rockies! The colors were just beautiful! I am so glad I got to see some color. (boo middle Ga!)

piggy bank
Olivers piggy bank was getting pretty heavy so I decided to dump it all out and count it. Of course he was right there to "help" me. We worked on learning which coin is which. He did really well! He helped me sort them into piles and helped count it.
There was
$51 in quarters
$3 in bills
$26 in dimes
$9 in nickles
$6 in pennies
so a total of 95.85!
